- SG1 PROTECTION: WTB’s SG1 Protection combines puncture protection where you need it most. SG1 tires deploy a nylon insert under the centerline of the treadcap extending to the cornering lugs to ensure puncture protection. SG1 tires also receive our famous Inner Peace bead insert protection, which improves rim and sidewall strength to keep pinch flats at bay.
